How long does it take for a commission piece?

It typically takes about two weeks to complete a custom order depending on the commission queue. Heather will provide a completion estimate during your commission consultation.

What is the price range for a commission order?

Prices vary from $250 to $5000+ depending on size, texture, and detail. Heather will discuss pricing during your consultation.

Do you accept Returns?

All sales are final.

What do I do if I don’t like my commission piece?

When do I pay for a commission piece?

Full payment is due after consultation to hold your space in the commission queue. Pricing and payment will be discussed during the free initial consultation.

The painting I want is Sold, What now?

Each painting is a one-of-a-kind original and, therefore cannot be replicated exactly. However, Heather can paint something very similar, just fill out the commission request form and let us know the piece that caught your eye.

What if I find art that I like from another artist? Can you recreate it for me?

There is a fine line between Imitation and Inspiration. Copying another artist’s work is illegal and unacceptable. However, if there is a piece that inspires you, we are happy to discuss creating something in a similar style.

Do you offer Framing for your artwork?

Yes. We do custom canvas float frames, available in a variety of colors and finishes. Check out our framing section to order or contact us for questions

Do you work with Interior Designers?

Yes, most commission work comes from talented designers that Heather works with across the US. Check out our interior design page if you are a designer and want to learn more or contact us if you need a recommendation of a great designer in your area.

Can the artist do an In-Home Consultation?

If you are local to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, Heather and her team welcome the opportunity to see the space in person after your initial consultation and full payment.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. Please contact us for a shipping quote.

Can I pick up my order if I am local to Dallas/Ft. Worth?

Yes. You can pick up your piece from the studio in West Plano at a pre-arranged time.

What happens if my painting gets lost or damaged during shipping?

ArtByHeatherElle is not responsible for lost or damaged items once shipped. All artwork is insured for the full retail value and in the rare occurrence that your order is lost or damaged during shipment, the buyer is responsible for contacting us within 15 days to file a claim and start a return. All shipping charges are non-refundable and all return and replacement shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. If the claim is approved, a replacement order will be processed within two weeks.
